Specialist Areas – Professional Focus
I am a qualified secondary school teacher with experience teaching in a variety of settings, including an alternative school for children at risk of exclusion. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the importance of building positive relationships with pupils and creating a supportive learning environment.
Since having my own children, I have developed a particular interest in Early Years education. I am passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them feel confident, understood, and encouraged.
I have always placed great emphasis on building rapport with students, as I believe strong relationships are key to effective teaching and learning.
I also have experience of the EHCP process as a parent, as well as behaviour management for children with SEN. This has given me valuable insight into the importance of understanding individual needs and working with patience, consistency, and empathy.
As a tutor, I aim to provide calm, supportive, and personalised learning that helps children build confidence and make progress.
