Specialist Areas – Professional Focus

I am a friendly tutor based in Hertfordshire with 8 years’ classroom teaching experience in state and boarding schools, as well as 5 years’ private tutoring experience. I am well qualified with a Master’s Degree in English and History, a PhD in Music, as well as holding CELTA and QTS certificates. I can support students both in-person and online in GCSE English Literature and English Language, as well as GCSE and A level Music, Grade 5 Music Theory, and English as an additional language. I have experience teaching these subjects across a range of exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas and OCR. I will tailor the sessions to suit the ability of individuals and will endeavour to make lessons engaging and stimulating. I aim to create a welcoming and safe environment, as I believe that this enables students to make significant progress and to achieve their goals.
