Specialist Areas – Professional Focus
My specialist area is home education curriculum design, with a particular focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1). I support home educators by creating engaging, creative and purposeful learning experiences that make education enjoyable, accessible and meaningful for every child.
My approach centres on personalised and tailored learning, recognising that children learn in different ways and at different paces. I design practical, active and play-based activities that encourage curiosity, independence, creativity and a genuine love of learning. My resources cover all areas of learning, aligned with the EYFS Development Matters guidance and the KS1 National Curriculum, while allowing families the flexibility to adapt learning to their child’s individual interests, strengths and needs. During our 90 minute session I will create a whole month of activities for home education, covering all areas of the appropriate curriculum.
I have a particular interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. I aim to create learning opportunities that reduce barriers, build confidence and celebrate each child’s unique abilities.
My professional focus is on making home education achievable and enjoyable for families, combining curriculum knowledge with creative, hands-on and active learning. I believe effective education should be inclusive, flexible and child-centred, enabling every learner to make progress while developing confidence, life skills and a positive relationship with learning.
About Brianne
I am an experienced and passionate primary teacher, curriculum designer and Early Years specialist with 16 years’ experience working across schools in Manchester, Lancashire and Norfolk.
I hold a degree in Early Primary Education and am a qualified teacher, with extensive experience across the Early Years and primary phases. During my career, I have worked as an EYFS Leader, been part of Senior Leadership Teams and developed a strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, inclusion and effective teaching and learning.
Alongside my teaching career, I work as an EYFS Consultant and Primary PESSPA (Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity) Specialist. I am particularly passionate about learning through play, movement, practical experiences and creativity, and believe children learn best when they are actively engaged and having fun.
I have developed an EYFS scheme of work that is currently being used in educational settings around the world, reflecting my commitment to creating high-quality, practical and accessible curriculum resources that work in real educational environments.
I am also a practising teacher, which keeps my work grounded in the realities of supporting children and families every day. My experience across different schools, settings and roles has given me a broad perspective on the diverse ways children learn and the importance of adapting education to meet individual needs.
My aim is to combine my professional experience, curriculum knowledge and passion for inclusive education to help home educators feel confident in providing engaging, purposeful and personalised learning experiences for their children.
