Specialist Areas – Professional Focus
I specialise in supporting children across Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing expert tuition across the full primary curriculum. My key areas include English, with a particular focus on reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar; mathematics; science; and all other core primary subjects. I also have extensive experience providing targeted preparation for the 11+ and private school entrance examinations, helping pupils develop the academic knowledge, exam techniques, confidence and independent learning skills needed to achieve their full potential.
About Clare
I’ve been teaching since 2003 and absolutely love helping children grow in confidence, develop their skills and discover that learning can be enjoyable! I’m a friendly, enthusiastic and proactive tutor who builds positive relationships with pupils and takes a calm, encouraging approach to learning. I live in Danbury, Essex, and when I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me enjoying a walk through the woodlands with my dog, taking part in parkrun, swimming, cooking (and enjoying good food!), listening to an Audible novel or spending time socialising with family and friends. I bring plenty of energy, warmth and enthusiasm to my tutoring, and always aim to make sessions both productive and enjoyable.
