Specialist Areas – Professional Focus
I am an experienced mathematics teacher and have taught across the full secondary age range, from Year 7 through to Year 13. My teaching experience covers Key Stage 3, GCSE Mathematics at both Foundation and Higher tiers, as well as A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Throughout my teaching career, I have supported students of varying abilities, helping them to build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and work towards academic success. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to provide clear, structured support that helps pupils feel more secure in their mathematical knowledge and skills.
As a tutor, I can offer support in KS2, KS3, KS4, GCSE Mathematics, A Level Mathematics, and Further Mathematics. I am able to help students consolidate classroom learning, address gaps in understanding, prepare for assessments, and develop greater confidence when approaching mathematical problems.
In addition to my classroom teaching, I have also contributed to the wider school community as a form tutor for both Year 8 and Sixth Form students in Years 12 and 13. These roles have allowed me to support students with their academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development, while building positive relationships and guiding pupils through important stages of their education.
I believe that confidence plays an important role in mathematical success, and I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel able to ask questions, develop their skills, and make progress at a pace that is right for them.
