Specialist Areas – Professional Focus
Over the past three academic years, I have worked in a mainstream primary school, providing both whole-class and one-to-one support. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how to support pupils with SEMH, SEND and EAL needs, helping to bridge gaps in learning and build confidence. I am experienced in supporting primary-aged children across the curriculum, including SATs preparation and strengthening core literacy and numeracy skills.
Alongside my school-based experience, I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Sociology and Social Psychology, a Masters degree with distinction in Psychology and am currently studying for a Doctorate in Sociology and Criminology. I offer tutoring in Psychology and Sociology at GCSE, A Level, and undergraduate level; helping students deepen their understanding of key concepts, develop effective study strategies, and build the confidence needed to achieve their academic goals.
My combination of practical classroom experience and advanced academic study enables me to adapt my teaching to suit a wide range of learners. I strive to create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming challenges, and developing confidence in their abilities.
I am extremely passionate about education and committed to helping individuals reach their full potential. Whether supporting a young child in building strong foundations or guiding older students through complex subject content, my aim is to provide personalised, encouraging tuition that inspires confidence and academic success.
