Supporting Every Child to Learn, Grow and Thrive

With nearly 30 years of experience in education, I provide personalised support for children across all aspects of their learning and development. My approach goes beyond academic achievement, focusing on building confidence, developing strengths, and helping every child reach their full potential.

I work with children of all ages, tailoring each programme to their individual needs, strengths, and goals. Support may include curriculum-based learning, study skills, confidence building, and practical strategies to overcome barriers to learning.

Where appropriate, I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches alongside educational support to create a holistic programme that nurtures both emotional wellbeing and academic progress. By combining education with therapeutic techniques, I help children develop the resilience, confidence, and self-belief they need to thrive both in school and in everyday life.

I have my own dedicated classroom, fully equipped with a wide range of educational resources to support learning in a calm, welcoming environment. This allows children to access high-quality teaching, specialist equipment, and tailored activities designed to meet their individual needs.

I believe that every child deserves access to an excellent education. Neurodivergent children should have the same opportunities to learn, succeed, and reach their full potential, with support that recognises and celebrates their unique strengths.

Every child is unique, and I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can flourish academically, emotionally, and personally.

In addition to educational support, I am qualified to offer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including Drawing and Talking Therapy, Therapeutic Art Activities, Theraplay®, and other evidence-informed approaches, carefully selected to meet each child’s individual needs and support their overall development.

About Mandy

I am a calm, caring, and patient tutor who is passionate about helping every child feel valued, understood, and capable of success. Over the past 30 years, I have worked with children and young people aged 4 to 16, supporting a wide range of educational, emotional, and developmental needs.

My passion for education comes from my own experiences at school. As a child, I often felt that I didn’t have a voice and wasn’t always understood. Those experiences inspired me to pursue a career in education, where I can ensure that every child is heard, respected, and appreciated for who they are as an individual.

Throughout my career, I have supported non-speaking children, children with SEND, children with social, emotional and behavioural needs, children in care (LAC), and those requiring clinically recommended support. Every child is unique, and I believe that with the right guidance, encouragement, and understanding, they can develop the confidence and skills to achieve their goals.

I genuinely love what I do and feel privileged to play a part in each child’s journey. Watching children grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and celebrate their achievements is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

I also believe that the best outcomes are achieved when families are involved. By working closely with parents and carers, we can create a consistent, supportive approach that benefits the child both at home and in their learning. Building strong relationships with the whole family helps create an environment where everyone feels supported, understood, and empowered.
